- Design of embedded analog/mixed-signal IC circuits for 8-bit/32-bit Microcontroller (MCU) or Systems-on-Chip (SoC).
- The job includes detailed circuit design and analysis, schematic capture and layout, circuit simulation, behavior modeling (C++, Matlab, Verilog), IC testing and debugging
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals especially in Deep Submicron CMOS technologies
- Knowledge of analog circuit design and analysis (Op-Amp, references, PLL, ADC, DAC)
- Knowledge of MOS device modeling and noise analysis
- Hands-on IC layout skills and IC measurement skills
- Familiar in any of the following analog design areas
- GHz Serial Link Transceiver (eg. PCIe, SATA, Ethernet)
- High resolution delta sigma ADC / DAC
- GHz wireless transceiver
Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior or higher grades.
- Perform custom IC layout using Cadence software
- Duties include cell layout, layout verification, and all similar layout design functions
- Responsible for layout verification, debugging and layout optimization
- Diploma or above in Electronics or above with good academic result in circuit theories
- Knowledge in CMOS IC layout
- Knowledge in CMOS device, fabrication process and electronic theories
- Able to read circuit schematics independently
- some basic knowlegde in special analog layout skill such as ESD, Latch-up, matcng would be a plus
- Some basic IC design knowledge would be a plus.
Participate in digital IP development/evaluation and SOC integration. The main duties include protocol specification study, signal processing algorithm analysis, design prototyping and IC implementation. The candidate may be working full ASIC design cycle from design, RTL coding, verification, synthesis, timing closure, DFT, backend support and silicon bring-up.
- BSEE/MSEE
- Knowledge in ASIC/FPGA design methodology
- In-depth knowledge in embedded processors (ARM/MIPS/DSP) MMU/caching, buses (AMBA)
- Knowledge in OS (Linux) virtual memory/threading/power management is a plus
- Experience in image, video or audio signal processing algorithms implementation on DSP or RISC processors, especially with detailed level knowledge of video codecs, e.g. MPEG-4/H.264/VC-1 is a plus
- Able to code in 'C' and Verilog RTL
- Knowledge in High Speed Serial Data Link, eg. USB, SATA, Ethernet, PCIe
Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior or higher grades.
- Work with Sales & Marketing department to identify new product opportunities and provide visibility to new product market
- Work with IC design team to design and develop prototype board for product testing
- Assist in writing documentation like product user guide, product specifications
- Provide sound technical customer support in solving unique customer applications
- Design and develop demonstration board for customers
- Design and develop MCU based product applications
- Design and develop application software for early stages of product development
- Design system-on-chip solutions for multimedia
- Knowledge in and understanding of MCU applications
- Knowledge in MCU Assembly language programming, C programming, Windows driver programming and Windows GUI programming
- Knowledge of MCU programmer, debugger and compiler are preferred
- Relevant MCU software and hardware design experience are preferred
- Experience in development with FPGA is preferred
- Self-motivated, well-organized, independent and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills with smart common sense
- Fluent in spoken and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese
